The construction sector is one of the sectors that has been heavily affected by COVID-19 which has made it a potential loser sector or does not survive during the pandemic, especially real estate or housing. Restrictions on physical interaction since the pandemic have caused people's interest to buy houses to plummet.

Based on data from the BPS for the City of Bandung in 2020, the value of the GRDP in the construction sector has fluctuated. This sector experienced an increase in the GRDP figure from 2018 to 2019, but in 2020 it decreased by 8.7 percent.
