Characteristics

Cibiru Subdistrict is included in the Ujungberung SWK. With an area of ​​6.32 km² and a population of 62,591 people (2.95 percent of the total population of Bandung City), this sub-district has a density of 11,406 people/km².  

As of 2019 the population of Cibiru Subdistrict was recorded at 62,591 people, consisting of 31,180 women and 31,425 men.

In Cibiru Subdistrict, most of the 144 people earn income in the processing industry by establishing or working in small and medium business processing industries.

Main Sector

The three main sectors in Cibiru sub-district include the trade and retail sector, the processing industry and the provision of accommodation and beverages. There are several micro and small industries based on home industries which are the largest industrial class that are developing their business in Cibiru District. 

Potential

The potential areas of Cibiru District include:

1. The residents of Cibiru sub-district have a relatively good level of participation.
2. Has a potential area to be developed as a productive green area (as green open space and water absorption area).
3. The area of ​​the Cibiru sub-district is quite large and land is still available to be developed for productive activities.
4. The location of the Cibiru sub-district is at the city limits and is the entrance to the city of east Bandung.
5. There is a major university, Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University.
6. Cibiru Subdistrict is close to the Jatinangor educational area.
