Derwati Area Hospital

The city of Bandung, particularly in the eastern region, faces significant challenges in providing adequate healthcare services. With a population of over 1 million people growing at a rate of 1.6% per year, this area still lacks a hospital, forcing residents to bear the burden of high costs and long travel times to access specialized care outside the area.

The construction of a Type C hospital in a strategic area like Derwati is an efficient

and promising solution. The presence of this hospital will complement the development of the Kota Baru Tegalluar/Gedebage area, supported by mass transportation infrastructure such as the High-Speed Train Station and plansfor LRT/BRT, making the area more attractive for residential and investment purposes. With the planned Health Tourism program in Bandung City, the construction of this new healthcare facility will not only serve local needs but also has the potential to attract patients from outside the region, strengthening Bandung’s position as a regional healthcare hub.

Technical Aspects

• Construction of a Type C Hospital General hospital with facilities and medical services for 4 basic specialties and 4 supporting specialties, tailored to regional needs.

• Supporting Infrastructure Construction of internal access roads, parking areas, wastewater treatment plants, electrical substations, generators, and green open spaces that meet green hospital standards.

• Implementation Schedule The construction and preparation project is planned to take place over 2 years (2026- 2027) with an initial operational target in 2028.

• Land area: ±3.4 hectares (asset of the Bandung City Government through PT Bandung Infra Investama (Perseroda)

• Accessibility: The location is close to the toll road an public activity centers such as GBLA Stadium, Al-Jabbar Mosque, Summarecon Area, and KCIC Tegalluar Station.

• Infrastructure: Available PLN electricity, PDAM water supply, Telkom network, and complete public facilities.

• Regulations: In accordance with the Bandung City Spatial Plan (Local Regulation No. 5 of 2022) for the K3 linear trade and services zone and Bandung City Regulation No. 29 of 2024 concerning the 2024-2044 Bandung City Spatial Plan.
